The Taste of Christmas

As Chrimbo draws near festive themed items obviously appear in our shops. One range of these Christmas treats is the seasonal sandwiches that appear on the shelves of the supermarkets.

The Christmas sandwich is a December treat. I properly look forward to them. Over the last few years they seem to have become more popular as what began as a special flavour has developed into a whole range to include sandwiches, drinks and desserts. Additionally there are at least three different flavours in of sandwich to tempt the Christmas shopper trying to grab lunch on the go.

I'm only interested in one flavour, is the Christmas dinner flavour; turkey, stuffing, cranberry, bacon in two slices of malted bread. Now that really is Chrimbo in a sandwich minus the brussels!

My favourite Christmas sandwich is quite an easy one to consider. It consists of two prices of bread slapped around some freshly cooked turkey; tomato ketchup on the side. Seasoning to taste. But this must be on the evening of Christmas Day itself.

Try it. Delicious.
