Back to School

The supermarkets have been promoting it since schools broke up in July, with their 'Back to School' power aisles. This coming week it finally happens. The fun, excitement and relaxation if the last six weeks is coming to an end. This year it feels as if the kids have been on summer holidays forever. Maybe the Olympics had some effect on this, they really were as amazing as they were hyped but even they seem to have happened an age ago.

The return to school is always heralded with the mad dash to buy new school uniform, shoes and stationary. It is also a chance to start afresh, new challenges, new opportunities, exciting teachers willing to teach you a whole range of new skills. Of course it also means getting up early, falling back into routines and homework.

So if you or your kids are back to school this week then I wish you and them good luck in their studies and here's hoping that the politicians, exam boards or exam watchdogs don't change the goalposts again.

The Autumn term inevitably has an effect on the weather. The weather over the last few days has been variable but rest assured as soon as the kids walk into the school buildings the Sun will shine and the temperatures will rocket.
